Tripoli: A car bomb exploded outside the Swedish consulate in the eastern Libyan city of Benghazi on Friday.
According to reports, the front of the building and nearby houses were damaged in the blast.
No casualties have been reported till now. Also, no group has claimed responsibility for the blast.
The blast took place days after a US raid captured a top al Qaeda suspect in Tripoli, outraging Libyan Islamist militants who called for revenge attacks.
More details are awaited.
Libya has struggled to curb rival armed factions in Benghazi, where the 2011 revolt that overthrew Muammar Gaddafi began and where the US ambassador was killed during an Islamist assault on a US diplomatic mission a year ago.
