Brisbane: Call it the impact of Hollywood blockbusters like Twilight, Dracula, Vampire Diaries, a 38-year-old make-up artist from Brisbane has made headlines in the Australian media for her bizarre obsession for drinking human blood directly from the wound of her partner.
As per a report in the Daily Mail, this self-proclaimed vampire licks her partner's wound to drink fresh human blood every week as she 'loves the metallic taste and texture.'
Georgina Condon, who is being referred to as Brisbane vampire woman, found her first female 'donor,' when she was just 17-year-old.
Thrilled by the highly sensual experience, Condon then started visiting Goth clubs and vampire balls to find more willing participants.
Condon revealed that her passion started when she was just a child, before films such as Twilight or shows like True Blood and Vampire Diaries were introduced into popular culture.
Initially, Condon would open wounds on her own body by picking scabs and developed a thirst for blood when she was just 12-year-old.
'There is a science to it, it's like when you're hanging for a really good red steak,' she was quoted as saying.
Condon, who loved to dress herself in black and cover her face with talcum powder, kept her active vampirism a secret though her friends called her 'weird.'
After drinking her own blood for many years, she began to frequent Goth clubs and vampire balls where she noticed that men were often 'turned on' after discovering that she was a self-confessed vampire.
Speaking about her partner Zamael, whom she has known for over two years, she said although he was a bit worried when Condon told him about her vampirism because of his fear for needles and knives, he soon agreed to be her blood donor.
When asked how a pair of vampires 'feed,' she said she rarely uses her fangs and instead will cut a wound with a razor or other object and let the blood 'flow'.
'You have to be very careful, it can go deep very quickly,' she said.
Condon also revealed that she does not worry about finding other blood donors as Zamael considers it cheating due to the intimate nature of the act.
Instead she 'feeds' off him each week to keep herself satisfied.
'He sacrifices to give me what I want from time to time,' Condon said, adding, 'He believes in monogamy so it's a form of intimacy.'
Condon also enjoys the popular television shows True Blood and The Vampire Diaries.
However, she does not like to scare people by hiding in the shadows and jumping out at them.
