Chicago bomb suspect pleads not guilty

Chicago: A 22-year-old Chicago man has pleaded not guilty to charges alleging he placed a backpack that he thought contained a bomb near Wrigley Field last month.

Sami Samir Hassoun is accused of attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction and attempting to use an explosive device.

The Lebanese immigrant turned and smiled at relatives during his yesterday`s court appearance.

Defence attorney Myron Auerbach told Judge Susan Cox he needs time to review more than 100 hours of FBI surveillance video. The next court date is November 03.

Auerbach told reporters Hassoun is "a big talker" and "troubled" but isn`t a terrorist.
