Beijing: Terming the US House Speaker Nancy
Pelosi's statement on Tibet as "extremely irresponsible",
China on Friday asked America to stop meddling in its internal
affairs using Tibet-related issues.
Slamming Pelosi's statement on Wednesday, reportedly
released on the occasion of 51st anniversary of rebellion in
Tibet led by Dalai Lama, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said it
was "finger pointing" at China disregarding facts.
"We urged relevant member of the US Congress to respect
the facts, discard prejudices and stop using Tibet related
issues to interfere in China's domestic affairs," Foreign
Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said reacting to Pelosi's
statement in which she criticised the Chinese government on
its Tibet policy.
Qin said Tibet has registered tremendous progress in
fields like as social and economic development, human rights,
as well as religious and cultural conservation.
