Paris: Shamed former International Monetary Fund head Dominique Strauss-Kahn is likely to be quizzed by the French Police over his links to a high-end call girl ring in northern France.

According to L’Express, the police are looking into reports that the French politician used the 800-dollars a night call girl service to have prostitutes sent to him in Washington and other international capitals between 2009 and 2011.

The ring was allegedly run out of Lille, France, and supplied prostitutes to clients at luxury Carlton hotels around the world, the report said.

The French magazine cited an alleged incident in 2009 in which Strauss-Kahn gave a speech at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development in Paris and then dined publicly with friends and alleged prostitutes brought in from Belgium.

Strauss-Kahn, who resigned from the IMF amid allegations that he sexually attacked a hotel maid in New York in May, is expected to speak to the police over the next few weeks, the New York Post reports.

Meanwhile, Strauss-Kahn’s lawyers have said he and his wife Anne Sinclair would take legal action over their alleged invasion of privacy amid French media reports that their marriage is about to end.

According to media reports, Sinclair told some friends that she considering filing for divorce and had demanded Strauss-Kahn repay the huge sum she spent on his defense.
