Eight people were wounded, one seriously, in a blast in a restaurant late Monday in the northern Tanzanian town of Arusha, police said Tuesday.

Arusha: Eight people were wounded, one seriously, in a blast in a restaurant late Monday in the northern Tanzanian town of Arusha, police said Tuesday.

"The explosion took place late in the evening, eight are wounded, one seriously," a police officer at the scene said. It was not immediately clear what caused the blast.
