Florida braces for Tropical Storm Isaac

Florida: With Tropical Storm Isaac heading towards US on Monday, a state of emergency has been declared in Florida.

The first day of Republican National Convention was cancelled because of the Tropical Storm Isaac and will now start from Tuesday.

Hundreds of flights were grounded and oil and gas production has been affected.

Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama have also declared a state of emergency because of Isaac. The states are preparing for the emergency situation and Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal told people to “prepare for the worst”.

On Sunday, the storm hit areas of south Florida and then headed west from its original predicted path.

Isaac is expected to turn into a hurricane within next two days and hurricane warning has been issued to Gulf Coast
