Gadhafi`s son seeks damages from Swiss newspaper

Geneva: A Geneva court says the son of Libyan
leader Moammar Gadhafi has filed a civil complaint against a
local newspaper that published a mug shot from his arrest last
year.

The photo was published by Tribune de Geneve in
September, more than a year after Hannibal Gadhafi was
arrested in Geneva for allegedly beating up his servants.

The court said today that Gadhafi is also seeking damages
from Geneva authorities for the leak of the photo. A
journalist is also being sued. The court didn`t say how much
money Gadhafi wants.
Gadhafi and his wife were released on bail three days
after their arrest and returned to Libya.
Libya-Swiss tensions remain high, with the ongoing
detention of two Swiss citizens in Tripoli causing a major
diplomatic tussle.
