Athens: Greek police were checking a suspicious package at the Hungarian embassy, police officials said on Tuesday.

"A suspect object was found at the embassy of Hungary, police experts are there and they have cordoned off the place," a police spokesman said.
Another police official said the suspicious object was a large envelope and it was not clear whether it contained an explosive device.
Greek police believe radical left-wing guerrilla groups are responsible for a wave of parcel bombs sent to foreign governments and embassies in Athens last week.
