Sydney: A helicopter crashed on Thursday near Sydney killing the four people on board.
New South Wales Police Spokesman Sgt. Dave Rose said something appeared to go wrong when the helicopter was trying to land just after noon on Thursday.

It crashed in a grassy area in a rainforest region called Bulli Tops, about 60 kilometers south of Sydney. Rose said investigators are on the scene and will try to determine what caused the accident.

Bankstown Helicopters confirmed it is the registered operator of the Robinson R44 helicopter that crashed. Chief pilot William Miller said in a statement the helicopter was hired by a private pilot for a private flight.

No details on the victims were immediately available.
