Heritage site damaged in border fighting: Cambodia
A wing of Preah Vihear temple was damaged as a result of Thai bombardment.
Phnom Penh: Cambodia says part of
an 11th century temple has collapsed during a third day of
border clashes with the Thai army.
The government cited a military commander as saying a
wing of the Preah Vihear temple was damaged today as a result
of Thai artillery bombardment.
There was no immediate comment from Thai authorities.
The fiercest border clashes in years erupted Friday
between troops along the border. Fighting has continued
despite at least two cease-fires.
