Mahmoud Ahmadinejad can expect USD 2 million for his 1977 Peugeot.
New Delhi: President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad can expect USD 2 million for his 1977 Peugeot, said Iran`s Minister of Welfare and Social Security Sadeq Mahsouli, according to a foreign news agency.
"We have different suggestions from many countries and the last received bid was USD 2 million,” Mahsouli said.
The report mentioned that the previous bid belonged to an Arabian country citizen was USD 1 million, reports English.news.cn.
Ahmadinejad`s car auction was announced in December last year by Ali-Asqar Parhizcar, managing director of Iran`s Arvand Free Zone.
"The Peugeot 504 (produced in 1977) belonging to President Ahmadinejad will be on a show of classic cars" in Iran`s southwestern city of Abadan, Parhizcar was quoted as saying.
Earlier in November, the Iranian President said he wants to sell his car in an auction for charity to help a housing project.
