Hillary ‘surprised’ by Chelsea’s reporting job

The former First Daughter, Chelsea Clinton, was famous for avoiding the press.

Washington: US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was ‘surprised’ by daughter Chelsea’s decision to take reporting job with NBC News.

On Monday, NBC had announced that Chelsea Clinton would work, as a correspondent on stories for its ‘Making a Difference’ series.

“I was a little surprised that she decided to go for it, but I’m very excited for her,” Politico.com quoted Hillary Clinton as telling MSNBC on Friday.

‘Making a Difference’ series runs on the ‘NBC Nightly News’ and ‘Rock Center With Brian Williams’. Chelsea will also continue her graduate studies and work at her father’s foundation.
Chelsea’s decision to join the media prompted some in the media to note the irony since the former First Daughter was famous for avoiding the press.
