Budapest: Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, was made an honorary citizen of Budapest during his seventh visit to the Hungarian capital, where he is on a three-day tour.
He stressed the importance of peace and dialogue as he accepted the honour from Budapest's Mayor Gabor Demszky.
He also gave lectures on Saturday at the Laszlo Papp Stadium.
On Monday, the Dalai Lama will meet with members of the Hungarian Parliament and the Hungary-Tibet Friendship Association.
He will also meet with the vice-president of the European Parliament Laszlo Tokes.
The Dalai Lama's last visit to Budapest was in 2000.
