Incumbent Guelleh wins Djibouti presidential vote
Ismael Omar Guelleh won Presidential Election with 79.26 percent of the vote.
Djibouti: Incumbent Ismael Omar Guelleh won Djibouti`s Presidential Election with 79.26 percent of the vote, the Interior Ministry announced early Saturday with votes counted in 90 percent of polling stations.
Guelleh, in power since 1999, won a third term in Friday`s election which was boycotted by the opposition, defeating his only challenger, Mohamed Warsama Ragueh, a former head of the constitutional council running as an "independent".
Interior Minister Yacin Elmi Bouh said the provisional result covered 352 of the 387 polling stations in Djibouti. The results from the remaining stations would barely change the announced result, he added.
Turnout was 68.51 percent.
