Muzaffarnagar: A case has been registered
against the brother of an Independent candidate in Uttar
Pradesh Assembly polls for alleged violation of model code of
conduct in Khatoli area of the district, police said on Wednesday.
Rajvir, whose brother Pramod Kumar is contesting from the
Khatoli constituency, has been charged with alluring farmers
by providing them power transformers for the poll campaigning
in the area last evening, they said.
Acting on a complaint, three transformers, that generate
electricity for the irrigation purpose, were recovered from
two farmers later, they added.
