Beijing: Months after Iowa State university student Shao Tong was killed, the police has arrested the prime accused in the case Li Xiangnan.
The suspect was apprehended by the Chinese police and has been charged with intentional homicide, according to a CNN news report.
Li, a former University of Iowa student, is accused of strangling his girlfriend who went missing on September 17, 2014.
Her body was later found on September 26, stuffed in a suitcase in the trunk of her car.
By then, Li had fled to China.
