Iran must make decisions to advance nuclear talks: Obama, Merkel

US President Barack Obama and German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Friday said it was up to Iran to make the final steps needed to bring long-running nuclear talks to a successful conclusion.

"Iran must make the decisions necessary to resolve several remaining issues," a statement said after the two leaders spoke by telephone. They pressed for a "long term comprehensive deal."
