Oslo: The United States is giving Iran a couple of weeks to ease world concern over its disputed nuclear programme.
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton says the Obama administration is not interested in Tehran`s intentions, but "in action and results”.
She says the US and its partners will know by the time talks begin this month in Moscow whether Iran is prepared to prove it is not trying to develop nuclear weapons. Tehran insists its programme is peaceful, but many countries suspect otherwise.
Hillary says that by the time of the Moscow talks, the US will have judged the Iranians "by their actions, and we will determine whether those actions are sufficient to meet their obligations”.
