Tehran: On the eve of 35th anniversary of Islamic revolution, Iran successfully test-fired two missiles with US reportedly “closely watching” the recent developments.

The two missiles test-fired include a guided surface-to-surface and air-to-surface missile while another is a fragmented missile capable of carrying multiple warheads, as per an international news agency report.

The report stated that the ballistic missile had radar-evading capabilities, but did not give a name. It said the second missile was called Bina, or “Insightful,” and was laser-guided. It said it could be fired from the ground or from aircraft.
Iran already has surface-to-surface missiles with a range of about 2,000 kilometers (1,250 miles) capable of reaching Israel and US military bases in the region.

Reacting to the news of test-firing of missiles, US reportedly said that it is “closely watching” the recent moves.
Iran and the US have repeatedly raised their concern over Iran`s nuclear program despite it`s claims that the program is for peaceful purposes.

Under the November accord, Tehran agreed to curb parts of its atomic drive for six months in exchange for marginal relief from international sanctions.
