Kiev: An over three-minute purported video clip of an elderly woman bravely confronting Islamic State militants has gone viral in which she is seen telling them that they are “devils” and that ISIS is cursed.
The video, believed to have been shot in Syria, shows the woman, who does not seem to be intimidated by the militants despite their ruthless reputation, berating the ISIS militants who are sitting inside a vehicle, the Daily Mail reports.
Speaking about barbaric slaughter of Kurds and killing of people, she says, "It's all forbidden. I swear nothing what you have done was in the way of God."
She even warned them, “do not slaughter anyone and no one will slaughter you”.
The elderly woman is then seen telling the militants, “Turn back to God.”
In an apparent reference to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, she warned, “No one of you will win anything. Not you nor Bashar.”
The report further states that the woman ignores their attempts to give justifications and says that the brutality by ISIS is taking Syria back in time and that they were “killing each other like donkeys”.
The militants, who appeared to be laughing off the accusations made by the woman initially, appear to be uncomfortable later and even ask the woman to leave.
The grandmother also told the militants that ISIS is cursed and even recites verses from Quran.
The video ends abruptly and does not show what happened to the elderly woman.
The authenticity of the video is yet to be ascertained and no confirmation has been made on whether those seen in it are militants of Islamic State terror group.
