Jerusalem: An Israeli was killed in a shooting attack outside a Jewish settlement in the occupied West Bank on Thursday, the Israeli military said.
An military spokeswoman said a car came under fire near the settlement of Einav.
Initial reports from rescue services said the driver of a car, traveling alone, was shot in the head and the car flipped over after being fired upon.
Israeli police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said: "We cannot yet confirm it was a terrorist attack."
The military said it was conducting searches near Einav, one of many Jewish settlements in the West Bank, and in the area of the nearby Palestinian city of Nablus.
