Japanese man commits suicide after killing wife, son in China

A 39-year-old Japanese expatriate in China has committed suicide after killing his wife and son in the country's southern Guangdong Province.

Beijing: A 39-year-old Japanese expatriate in China has committed suicide after killing his wife and son in the country's southern Guangdong Province.

Baoan District police in Shenzhen city received a phone call last night from a man saying his younger brother, of Japanese nationality, was untraceable.

The police arrived at the home of the younger brother and found him, his wife and son all dead, state-run Xinhua news agency reported today.

An initial investigation showed that the man committed suicide after murdering his wife and son on Monday and Saturday, respectively.

A suicide note left behind by the Japanese man attributed the killings on domestic violence done by his wife.

The police statement did not disclose the names of the Japanese man and his wife.
