Amman: A group of young men attacked
the motorcade of Jordan`s King Abdullah II with stones and
empty bottles as he visited the southern city of Tafileh
on Monday, but no one was hurt, a security official said.
"Part of the king`s motorcade was attacked with
stones and empty bottles by a group of men in their 20s and
30s a after the king`s car entered Tafileh," the official said.
"Nobody was hurt and the motorcade changed its
route," the official said without elaborating.
A palace source confirmed that members of the Royal
Guard who accompanied the king were not hurt.
