Sydney: Whistleblowing website WikiLeaks founded by Julian Assange is reportedly publishing secret American military documents again.

Australia-born activist Assange announced a progressive release of over 100 leaked US Defence Department files setting out rules and procedures for interrogating detainees in military custody.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the documents to be published over the next month include the standard operating procedures of the Guantanamo Bay jail, documents relating to the Abu Ghraib and Camp Bucca prisons in Iraq.

They also reveal the so-called ''fragmentary orders'' setting out changes to detainee procedures across US military operations worldwide, the paper said.

The classified documents span a decade of counter-terrorism operations, including details on US military interrogation procedures and a long-standing practice of routinely destroying recordings of interrogations, it added.

According to the paper, the latest releases are likely to be carefully examined by the Australian Defence Department.

In 2010, the department had employed over 90 people to examine WikiLeaks' earlier releases of thousands of US military reports on the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
