Berlin: Switzerland has granted a three-month visa to Kremlin critic Mikhail Khodorkovsky, who has been staying in a German hotel following his release from a Russian prison, the Swiss embassy in Berlin said Monday.

"Switzerland has granted the request of Mikhail Khodorkovsky for a Schengen visa. The visa allows a three-month stay in the Schengen area," said the statement, referring to a 26-country visa-free zone within the EU. Khodorkovsky`s family lives in Switzerland.
