Washington: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is promising to punish all those involved in the killings of four Israelis in the West Bank.
Meeting Tuesday night with Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton at a Washington hotel, Netanyahu said terrorism would not decide where Israelis live and where Israel draws its borders. Instead, he said, such issues will be determined in negotiations for peace.
In the West Bank, a Palestinian gunman opened fire on an Israeli vehicle, killing four passengers. The militant Hamas movement took responsibility, and Netanyahu denounced those involved as "murderers" and those who sent them.
Netanyahu and other Mideast leaders are preparing for talks aimed at a Palestinian-Israeli peace agreement.
