Lockerbie bomber is `very ill`: Son London: The son of the only man found guilty of the Lockerbie terrorist attack has allowed British media access to his home to show people in the UK the extent of his father's illness.

Abdel Baset al-Megrahi was released early in 2009 from a Scottish prison on compassionate grounds, after doctors predicted he would die of prostate cancer within three months.

He remains alive, angering many in Britain and the US, the homeland of most of the 270 people killed in the 1988 bombing of Pam Am flight 103 over the town of Lockerbie in Scotland.

His son, Khalid al-Megrahi, told the BBC he wants to show people in Britain that the Libyan is "very ill" and cannot move from his room.

The BBC footage broadcast on Tuesday showed al-Megrahi lying in bed with a machine monitoring his heartbeat.
