London: As more details tumble out about the Islamic State's infamous executioner better known as “Jihadi John”, a clearer character portrait has emerged of the man who has appeared in a bunch of ISIS beheading videos, brandishing a knife and spouting threats against the western governments.

The ISIS extremist who has now been identified as Mohammed Emwazi, is notorious for having beheaded at least six western hostages in ISIS videos.

Emwazi, who hailed from West London, was born in Kuwait and his father was a policeman there.

Earlier reports have said that he was known to the British intelligence since 2005 and according to a Daily Mail report, he, wrote an email to Mail On Sunday, explaining how he dreaded UK's MI5, and he felt like a “dead man walking” after a UK intelligence official approached him in the disguise of a laptop buyer in 2010.

According to other reports in the Observer and the Guardian, Jihadi John is also said to have been a part of the terror cell which tried to blow up the tube in London in 2005 but failed.

John was reportedly a member of 12-strong terror cell, which was linked to failed 21/7 London bombing. According to court documents, one of the members of the same terror cell, on the day of failed terror plot, spoke with Hussein Osman, who was later jailed for life for placing a bomb a tube station in London.

In another piece of  information about the executioner, 'Jihadi John', then a 21-year-old graduate from London, who worked as a salesman for an IT company in Kuwait, was the "best employee" for his boss in Kuwait City, reported the Guardian. However, having shown a "stellar" performance during his probation period, he disappeared after April 2010, his boss added.

Talking to the Guardian, Jihadi John's boss expressed surprise as to how such a 'decent and calm' man could end up becoming an executioner.

“He was the best employee we ever had,” the former boss said of Emwazi told the Guardian.

"How could someone as calm and quiet as him become like the man who we saw on the news? It’s just not logical that he could be this guy.”

In the latest revelation by an ex-ISIS fighter, 'Jihadi John' is said to have been a 'strange' and a 'loner' who apparently didn't like to mingle with others and would not say 'hi' to fellow Britons in the group.

According to the BBC, which spoke with an ISIS defector named Abu Ayman, Jihadi John came across as a “cold” person, who didn't talk much.

The former ISIS fighter named Abu Ayman is a young man in his twenties and claims to have quit the extremist outfit because he was ordered to kill women and children, the BBC reports.

He is said to have met Jihadi John in Syria two years ago in the town of Atmeh, which is crowded with refugees.

Revealing more details about 'Jihadi John', the ISIS defector told the BBC that Emwazi was strange and unlike other Britons, wanted to appear in videos.

Revealing how the ISIS flaunts 'Jihadi John' as a showpiece to attract vulnerable young minds to the group, the defector told the BBC, "ISIS play him like a piano. He's a celebrity to attract our Muslim brothers in Europe".

He added that some joined the ISIS after watching and admiring him but there are many in the group who think that Emwazi is being used by the group.

"some think he is showing off; they think he's being used by ISIS,” he added.

The defector also reported that there are some within the group who are looking for an opportunity to escape.

According to a Daily Mail report, the ISIS extremist who has now been identified as Mohammed Emwazi, wrote an email to Mail On Sunday, explaining his fear of UK's MI5, saying how he felt like a “dead man walking” after a UK intelligence official approached him in the disguise of a laptop buyer in 2010.
