Singapore: A 6.6 magnitude earthquake was recorded 220 miles east of Kira Kira in the Solomon Islands in the Pacific Ocean on Monday at 0407 GMT, the US Geological Survey reported.
The Hawaii-based US Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre said there was no destructive tsunami generated.
The quake was first reported at magnitude 6.7.
