Washington: Fascinated by her maiden trip
to Mumbai and New Delhi last November, US First Lady Michelle
Obama wants to make another trip to India; but this time along
with her two daughters Sasha and Malia.
This was stated by none other than President Barack
Obama himself when he dropped in at a White House meeting
between National Security Advisor ShivShankar Menon and his
American counterpart Tom Donilon, informed sources said.
It is understood that Obama told Menon that Michelle
loved her stay in India and she would like to travel to India
once again with her two daughters.
In fact, Sasha and Malia were originally scheduled to
travel with the Obamas to India but they could not because it
clashed with their school schedule.
"She is a determined lady" said an Indian diplomat
familiar with the conversation, adding that the First Lady
would be able to visit Indian soon.
However, there is no official preparation at this
point of time, official said.
During the meeting with Menon, Obama asked him to
convey to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh how much he and
Michelle enjoyed trip to India last November.
Obama conveyed his own commitment to strategic
partnership between India and the United States.
