A Kamov K-60 assault helicopter crashed near here injuring its two member crew.

Moscow: A Kamov K-60 assault helicopter
today crashed near here injuring its two member crew.

The ill-fated helicopter was on a trial flight with
another similar chopper assembled at a nearby factory in the
town of Lyubertsy, according to NTV channel.

Known as Kastaka (Killer Whale), K-60 comes in several
models including ship-borne over-the-horizon targeting
(Ka-60K), and reconnaissance (Ka-60R).

A probe has been launched to establish the cause
of the crash.
