Mubarak party members allowed to run in Egypt vote Cairo: Former members of Hosni Mubarak's political party have won a legal victory allowing them to run in Egypt's first Parliamentary Elections since the ouster of the longtime leader.

The Supreme Administrative Court overturned a ruling that had barred members of the now-dissolved National Democratic Party from contesting the election in one province. Monday's ruling applies nationwide and cannot be appealed.

Voting begins on November 28 and will be held in stages.

Mubarak's party had an estimated three million members before it was formally dissolved as a result of the uprising that ousted him in February.

The drive to bar those associated with the former regime from running was led by the Muslim Brotherhood, the biggest opposition group during Mubarak's three decades in power.
