Brtislava: NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen is set to visit Slovakia Wednesday to meet Slovakia`s top officials and evaluate the country`s 10 years as a NATO member, the defence ministry said Sunday.
It will be Rasmussen`s third visit to Slovakia as NATO chief.
"Among the issues that are likely to be debated are the evaluation of Slovakia`s ten-year membership of NATO, developments in Ukraine and issues pertaining to NATO`s further engagement in Afghanistan after the ISAF operation is concluded," Xinhua quoted the Slovakian defence ministry`s spokesperson Martina Ballekova as saying.
Rasmussen is due to be replaced in the post of NATO secretary-general by Norwegian politician Jens Stoltenberg Oct 1.
