Nepal for taking the peace process to positive end: Koirala Kathmandu: Nepal government is keen to take the peace process to its positive conclusion through active cooperation of all major political parties in the country, Deputy Prime Minister Sujata Koirala has said.

Koirala, who is also Foreign Minister was speaking at the launch of "In quest of Buddha: A journey on the Silk Road" written by Indian writer Sunita Dwiwedi here yesterday. The government is willing to take the peace process to its positive conclusion through active support and cooperation of all major political parties in the country, Koirala said.

"I firmly believe that scrupulous observance of Buddha's teachings can play a vital role in institutionalising peace in Nepal," she said at the function as chief guest.

"Buddha's philosophy and teachings have greater pertinence and relevance to our country in the context of difficult transition", she noted.

This is one of the great books that reveals Indian interests in Chinese culture and the role played by Buddhism in the life of Chinese people, she observed.

It seems that the concept of globalisation had been conceived during that period through the Silk Road, Deputy Prime Minister Koirala noted pointed out.

The book, released on October 8, 2009 in Delhi, reveals about the facts about 'Silk Road' known as the world's greatest international trade route that promoted trade and cultural exchanges between the East and the West, according to Dwivedi.
