Obama delegates nuclear deal reporting authority to Clinton

US President Barack Obama on Wednesday delegated to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton the six monthly-certification authority as mentioned in the Indo-US Civilian Nuclear Act of the US Congress.

on Wednesday delegated to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton the six
monthly-certification authority as mentioned in the Indo-US
Civilian Nuclear Act of the US Congress.
"I hereby delegate to you the functions and authority
conferred upon the President by section 104(g) of the United
States-India Peaceful Atomic Energy Cooperation Act of 2006
(Public Law 109-401), as amended by section 105 of Public Law
110-369, to make the specified report to the Congress," Obama
said in a signed memorandum issued to the Secretary of State.
Under the Act, the US President needs to certify to
the appropriate congressional committees that it is the policy
of the US to work with members of the Nuclear Suppliers Group,
individually and collectively, to agree to further restrict
the transfers of equipment and technology related to the
enrichment of uranium and reprocessing of spent nuclear fuel.
