Obama pokes fun at those questioning his birth certificate

While campaigning in Florida, Obama made an unscheduled stop at a bar where he met a boy born in Hawaii - where the President was born.

Washington: US President Barack Obama Sunday took a dig at those questioning that he was born in Hawaii.

While campaigning in Florida, Obama made an unscheduled stop at a bar where he met a boy born in Hawaii - where the President was born.

He asked the boy if he had a birth certificate no sooner his mother told Obama that he was born in Hawaii.

According to White House pool reports, Obama made an unscheduled stop at a sports bar in Orlando - Gator Dockside where he met this young boy on a table of five kids and a woman.

The woman pointed to a blond boy at the opposite end and says "he was born in Hawaii."

Obama "lights up and does some presumably Hawaii sign with his hand, which the boy returned," the pool report said.

"You were born in Hawaii? You have a birth certificate?" Obama asked as the table busted out laughing.

By saying so, Obama was referring to the questions being asked by his opponents who are seeking his birth certificate, and all those who doubt that he was born in Hawaii.

In an attempt to respond to conspiracy theorists, Obama released his long-form birth certificate in the spring of 2011, which showed that he was born in a Hawaii hospital on August 4, 1961.

Only those born in the US are eligible to be the President of the United States.
