Washington: US President Barack Obama is
ending his current trip to Latin America by a few hours so as to concentrate on the military operations in Libya with his national security advisors.
"It`s logistical. He`s doing a call in the am with his
national security team, and thus will not have time to visit
the ruins. So he`ll be wheels up a couple hours earlier,"
Tommy Vietor, spokesman of the National Security Council,
As a result, Obama has scrapped his planned visit to
Mayan ruins in El Salvador. Obama has been criticized by some
at home for going on a foreign travel while his country
launched military operation in Libya.
