Obama signs Defense Appropriations Bill Washington: US President Barack Obama today signed into law the Defense Appropriations Act 2010, which includes billions of dollars for Pakistan.

In all Pakistan would receive USD 1.7 billion in the next one year under the USD 636.3 billion Defense Appropriations Act 2010. This includes USD 700 million under the Pakistan Counter-Insurgency Capability Fund.

Pakistan also expects to receive more than USD one billion under the Coalition Support Fund, for the services rendered by it in support of the coalition forces.

Pakistan has submitted a bill between USD 1.7 billion to USD 1.8 billion, authorities said.

Obama signed the bill into law after the US Senate over the weekend passed the bill 88-10. The House of Representatives had passed it earlier by 395-34 votes.

Among other things, the bill includes USD 80 million to acquire more unmanned 'Predator' drones.
