One killed, six injured in bomb blast in Chinese restaurant

A home-made bomb exploded in a restaurant in the southwestern Chinese city of Guiyang on Sunday killing a man and injuring six people.

Beijing: A home-made bomb exploded in a
restaurant in the southwestern Chinese city of Guiyang on Sunday killing a man and injuring six people.

The explosion took place at the breakfast restaurant
on Zunyi Road, the Guiyang Municipal Public Security said in a
statement.

Windows, doors, tables and chairs in the restaurant were
shattered and broken when the home-made bomb went off, the
official Xinhua news agency reported.

An initial investigation showed that the man killed in
the explosion was Ren Guangqi, a 52-year-old street peddler
from Yinjiang county.

Ren had made the bomb and exploded it intentionally in
the restaurant to settle scores with the restaurant owner.
