Florida: It's an interesting story of how a helmet saved the life of a brave police officer of Orlando Police Department (OPD) during the shooting incident at Pulse nightclub.
The OPD officer was caught in cross-fire with the Orlando shooting attacker but was saved by his Kevlar helmet.
The police officer suffered an eye injury but his life was saved.
Taking to Twitter, Orlando Police wrote, "Pulse shooting: In hail of gunfire in which suspect was killed, OPD officer was hit. Kevlar helmet saved his life."

Confirming the news, Chief John Mina, Chief of Police, Orlando Police Department, wrote on Twitter, "Spoke with our officer, he is ok. We are glad he is alright and not seriously injured. Kevlar helmet saved his life."

In a message published on the group’s semi-official news agency, Amaq, it described gunman Omar Mateen as a “soldier of the caliphate".
