Washington: Osama bin Laden had listed Britain among six countries for terror attacks, the documents and computer files seized from his Abbottabad compound in Pakistan have revealed.
The revelations are poised to heighten fears of a revenge attack on Britain for bin Laden`s killing by "lone wolf" extremists or by a home-grown terror cell, The Telegraph reports.
A team of British intelligence agents flew to America last week to take a closer look at the "treasure trove" of material seized by the US Special Force during their raid on bin Laden’s compound earlier this month.
US officials conducting the initial investigation had reportedly found repeated references to Britain as a potential target, in those materials.
Intelligence sources said that the US, Canada, Israel, Germany and Spain were also identified as targets for terror strikes, but did not disclose specific plots or threats.
