Havana: Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will be meeting Cuban President Raul Castro in Havana during his official visit, the Cuban Foreign Ministry said on Saturday morning.
Abbas is travelling from New York, where on Friday he addressed the UN General Assembly and urged Israel to halt all settlement activity in the West Bank.
The Ministry said that during Abbas' two-day visit, he will take part in an "Act of Solidarity" of the Cuban and Palestinian peoples, and meet top officials.
Abbas will also lay a wreath to Cuban heroes at the Jose Marti Memorial in Havana.
