Petraeus’ lover Broadwell was ‘never in love with David`

Ex-CIA chief David Petraeus’ lover, Paula Broadwell reportedly commented in a February interview that she "wasn`t in love" with the man.

Washington: Ex-CIA chief David Petraeus’ lover, Paula Broadwell reportedly gushed praise on the retired general but then later commented in a February interview that she "wasn`t in love" with the man.
During an interview in February, Broadwell heaped endless praise on her former paramour and the subject of her book “All In,” but kept a poker face about their secret affair, the New York Daily News reports.
“I’m not in love with David Petraeus. But I think he does present a terrific role model for young people, for executives, for men and women, no matter what,” Broadwell had said.

According to the report, Broadwell dropped hints about how much time she had spent with the disgraced CIA chief and potentially how their professional and personal relationship unfolded while he was a Commander of U.S. troop in Afghanistan.

“We sometimes ran and interviewed, which was a lot of fun...and our rapport increased,” she had said.

Broadwell had also said that Petraeus’ betrayed wife Holly had read her biography and “had great things to say,” the report said.

The new sex scandal, which prompted Petraeus to resign from the helm of the CIA last Friday after just 14 months in office, has sent shockwaves through Washington.

Another top brass, Gen. John Allen is also undergoing investigation for alleged ‘explicit communications’ on emails during 2010 to 2012 with Jill Kelley, a Florida socialite involved in the scandal.
