Poland has `respect` for Soviet liberators of Auschwitz: President

 Poland "respects and recognises" the role of the Soviet Red Army in liberating the Auschwitz death camp 70 years ago, Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski said at a ceremony on Tuesday.

Komorowski also drew a parallel between "two totalitarianisms", Germany`s Nazi regime and the Soviet system, and recalled the massacre of Polish elites by Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin.
