Police checking suspicious car near UK Parliament

London: Police have evacuated a street
near Britain`s parliament in London after reports that a
suspicious vehicle was parked there.

Metropolitan Police say they have located a
suspicious item in a car in Whitehall and evacuated the area
this morning as a precautionary measure.

They say the incident is not regarded as serious
and the area is expected to be reopened soon.
