Washington: Prince Charles has said that he and his wife Camilla are delighted at the arrival of their grandson.
The Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to a baby boy at 4:24 pm on Monday.
The 64-year-old royal and Duchess Camilla issued a statement, saying that the couple are overjoyed at the arrival of their first grandchild, Us magazine reported.
He said that it is an incredibly special moment for their son and daughter-in-law William and Catherine and they are thrilled for them on the birth of their baby boy.
Charles said that grandparenthood is a unique moment in anyone`s life and he is enormously proud and happy to be a grandfather for the first time.
He added that the couple are looking forward to seeing the baby in the near future.
