London: Britain`s Prince Harry has pulled
out of a trip to Dubai over the turmoil in the Middle East, a
media report said.
The third-in-line to the British throne was due
to play in a polo tournament on March 19 to raise one million
pounds for his African Aids charity Sentebale.
But those plans have been shelved at the last minute
because of growing tensions brought on by a wave of Egypt and
Tunisia-inspired pro-democracy protests in the region, mainly
in the Gulf nations of Bahrain and Oman, `The Sun` reported.
"Harry is really disappointed. That`s one million
pounds that could have been raised. He is going to try and
organise something else, may be at a tournament somewhere
else," a source was quoted as saying.
The charity was set up after Harry`s 2004 gap year
visit to Lesotho. Around 23 per cent of adults among Lesotho`s
1.9 million population are HIV-positive.
