Prince Harry to Skype from Afghanistan on X-mas

London: Thanks to brother William`s idea, Prince Harry will now be able to participate in the Royal Family`s Christmas celebrations through a skype video call from war-torn Afghanistan where he is posted.

The 28-year-old Apache helicopter pilot will use the internet service to speak to the Queen and his loved ones who will see him on a plasma screen in the billiards room at the Sandringham estate, Norfolk, The Sun reported.

The call, which will last just a few minutes, was the idea of his brother Prince William, 30.

But given the need for secrecy, the Prince, an Apache helicopter pilot in the Army Air Corps, is unlikely to refer to military activities.

"The family are very anxious for Harry. It was William who came up with the idea so Harry could exchange greetings," a source was quoted by the tabloid as saying.

"He is putting his life on the line, like all servicemen out there, and the family share the same anxieties as everyone with a loved one in Afghanistan," the source added.
Harry is a captain on his second tour of duty in the war zone. He also spent Christmas there in 2007.
