Princess Diana planned to flee royal family with sons?
A royal expert has claimed in his new book that the Princess of Wales wanted to take her young sons, William and Harry, away from the royal family.
London: A royal expert has claimed in his new book that the Princess of Wales wanted to take her young sons, William and Harry, away from the royal family to start a new life abroad.
The man in question, Alan Power, believes that Princess Diana spoke to William and Harry about leaving the UK and shifting to the US or France, the Daily Express reported.
In `The Princess Diana Conspiracy: The Evidence of Murder` book Power wrote that Diana`s relationship with beau Dodi Fayed was fast becoming known to the world and people now began to realise that their romance was not just a summer fling.
He said that the possibility that Diana might marry Fayed and leave the country was a real one.
Power alleges that Diana`s sons were already urging her to live abroad to be less in the public eye.
Power, however, asserted that the chance of moving away from UK was repudiated by Queen Elizabeth, who ordered a new statement to be issued, disclaiming this possibility.
He added that having the second and third in line to the throne living abroad, without the level of protection afforded by British security, was not an idea relished by the British monarchy.
